Scavenger Hunt Findings

  • We were surprised by how many people didn't know the definition of sustainability. For example, one person had no clue what it was. A definition we had gotten was "something you can keep the same". The real definition of sustainability is endurance of systems and processes.
  • We were surprised to see how many people didn't car pool. The average amount of people per car is 1.7.
  • We were surprised again by how many older people benefited from the technology. A lot of them found it easier to contact people and get news about stuff going on in the world.
  • We were surprised by how many people seemed to care about recycling. They all thought it was good for the environment and how everybody should do it. We thought there would be a few people that didn't like it.
  • We were surprised by how much stuff was made in other countries such as the phone made in china, sweatshirt made in Vietnam, and a pen made in Japan. Nothing was made in the U.S.
